Best Ways To Earn Money at University

Written by Sam | November 26, 2018

Constantly looking in your pockets and wallet for money only to see receipts, see the best ways to earn money while at University and some you can even do from the comfort of your own home!

Complete Surveys

For those who want to stay in bed and earn a bit of cash, you can fill out surveys. The money isn’t great if you do a few, but if you start doing lots in a day then you can start earning a bit of money and you can even do it from your bed. The only catch is that you have to be in the demographic for the survey! Worth a look! There are lots of sites out there that can point you in the direction of surveys, just make sure you find the legitimate ones.

Blogging/ Vlogging

Start blogging a topic, many people document their time at University or they even just do their daily life. If you have a specific topic that you know very well and have a passion for then do that, others will pick up on your passion and start to follow your blog/vlog. The best thing is that if it’s a topic you love you can write about it for days and it won’t feel like work! Many companies & Universities also use blogs as a way to increase their marketing campaigns, if you don’t want to start your own, you can always do it for someone else!

Freelancing

If you are doing design, business, or sport course (anything), you will be able to do a bit of freelance work for companies. You can limit the amount of work you take on and keep it so you can still complete your uni work at the same time. Companies, especially small to medium-sized ones might need the service which you offer but can’t afford the price of a big company doing the work, so that’s where you step in. You can complete the work, gain experience, earn money and everyone wins. There is definitely a space in the market for students to offer this type of work. You never know it might turn in to your future business. Look at sites such as People Per Hour and Fiverr. Freelancers on there usually do work when they can in their spare time. You can do this too at University if you wish!

Buying and Selling

This is the way that everyone overlooks, but buying and selling items, then buying more stock and selling more, etc, is a way to make money. Especially with all the apps to help you, it’s even easier to get your stock out there on the market. The items don’t have to be anything unique, however the more unique it is the smaller the market but the higher the price, in theory, you could charge. You can do it in your own time and you can have as much stock or as little stock as you can handle. The way to start is to get yourself to a wholesaler or online wholesaler and decide to want you to want to start with. You do need to research what you are going to sell, to make sure it will sell. If it does make sure you can get some more stock in fast!

Promoter

There are many clubs trying to get you into their place. Much of this is done by promoters on the street handing you flyers and leaflets offering discounts etc. They do get paid and can earn a commission for the number of people they get into the club, it can be a good money earner if you don’t mind working the nights and are good at talking to people to get them into the club.
