Students that want to go to Leicester to study have picked a great city, having had a recent influx from the football club, Leicester has had a lot more attraction.

In Leicester all the student accommodation is based around the city centre campuses of University of Leicester and DMU. They are all within walking distances of the universities and close to transport.

Student Housing in Leicester
There are quite a number of student letting agents and landlords in Leicester, however, the problem is the limited supply of good quality and reasonably priced student accommodation.
Most students I would say start looking for student housing around late November and start booking in December, this is a small minority though and quite a lot of students wait until the new year.
Take your time in choosing your landlord and letting agent.

- Stoneygate
- Evington
- Highfields
There are more areas to live in, however, these are where most students live.
Leicester has very reasonable rents, especially as it is based in the midlands and I would say the average rent, per week with bills included is £90-100 per week. This depends on where you live, quality and size of the house and rooms.
All these locations are close to the universities, close to bus and train stations and have good access to the city centre. This is mainly the reason why they are so popular.
