Bournemouth is an exciting place to live, it has a great coastal location in the south of England with lots of natural beauty around it and two universities, Bournemouth University and Arts University Bournemouth. Bournemouth has around 16,000 students which compared to other universities is a good-sized university. It has two campuses, one which is in the town centre and one in Talbot.
In terms of student accommodation in Bournemouth, there is quite a lot of operators for the 16,000 students (roughly), where as if you compare this to Gloucester, then there aren’t that many options. I’ll cover this in more detail later.

Bournemouth has a lot of student accommodation relative to it’s size for me, this gives you the student plenty of choice of where you live and what you get for your money.
It is all based pretty much around Bournemouth’s train station which makes transport easy for getting in and out of Bournemouth, it is in walking distance to Bournemouth University as well.

However, the one downside can be the price, they can be more expensive than a shared house.

Bournemouth has quite a good selection of student housing, I would say that most of it is pretty well designed and managed, more than most I believe, however, it doesn’t mean to say that there isn’t any bad student housing.

All these places are located around about 10 minutes walk away from Bournemouth University and 10 minutes between the Arts University Bournemouth apart from the town centre.
They all have good transport in and around them meaning you can walk to the train station or catch a bus within a few minute’s walk from your house.
Living in Bournemouth is relatively quite cheap, the average rent is in between £100-110 per week and that is with all bills included.
