There is quite a lot of student accommodation choice in Exeter and this is good as a student. In this section, we are just looking at the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA).

However, one downside can be the price. They are more expensive than student housing but you have to decide whether it is worth the extras.

For student housing in Exeter there are plenty of options for students, I wold say the average is around £125 per week for all bills included. This is slightly higher than the average, however, this is because of the location, area and university.
I have seen some for £150 per week and some for £100 per week, it all depends on where you want to live.
Best places to live in Exeter as a student are:
- Union Road
- Victoria Street
- Howell Road
- Mount Pleasant
Because Exeter is a fairly small and tight knit community, there aren’t very many places you can choose from. There are more than what is in the list above.
These areas, are most popular for different reasons. Union road is close to the university, but you can expect to pay the most where as Mount Pleasant and Howell are slightly further out and you can have cheaper rents.
Victoria street is just off Union road and again will have higher rents but lower commute times. All the areas have all the basics you need and have good access to the university whether that is by walk, bike or bus!
