Aberystwyth is a small town on the west coast of Wales, roughly half way up! It only has one university which is Aberystwyth University, it has just under 7,000 full time students and is a seaside resort.

It has a very good cost of living, meaning you can get a lot for your money while you are there. Rents are cheap compared to many cities and for the added extra, you are right next to the beach and the Cambrian Mountains.

The Penglais Campus, the central teaching campus, is located a short walk from the town centre and seafront. Llanbadarn is home to the university’s equine teaching centre. Its Gogerddan campus houses the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences, a world class research and teaching centre that addresses global challenges such as food security, sustainability and climate change.

Here I am just looking at Purpose Built Student Accommodation, these are the accommodation blocks that are managed or owned by those other than the university. They are usually based around the centre and come with lots of added extras, such as:

The only downside about these types of accommodation can be the cost. They are usually designed well and have lots of great features, but they are more expensive than student housing, however, you do get a lot more.
